The Super Bowl of Parish Life

ree

________

The Easter Triduum is commonly referred to as the "Super Bowl of Masses" at our parish. Everything is dusted off, all of the smells and bells come to life. It also helps that it's both our pastor and deacon's absolute favorite liturgy to celebrate throughout the year. And rightly so! People are getting baptized and confirmed in the Church, the liturgy lasts for three days in full, and songs are being sung that haven't seen the light of day in months. Lots of incredible things happen in such a short period of time.

Lent is over, but that doesn't mean that our life should go back to "normal". Our hearts should be redirected toward Christ, our Lord and Savior. If we did Lent right then we should be changed in some sort of way. If what we are taught about the Resurrection is true then how could we possibly remain the same?

Let us enter into the Easter season with a new appreciation for the Passion and Death of Christ, but also a new sense of joy in the Resurrection!

Have a blessed Easter.
